What is a LIMS consultant

A LIMS consultant is in charge of configuring, implementing, developing and supporting projects and applications related to LIMS. The consultant analyses end user requirements, tailor LIMS solutions and implement them through configuration. The consultant deals with LIMS software installations and configurations and are in charge of their upkeep.

Alexandre Schiltz

As main consultant and founder of Smart Lab Link, Alexandre completed biomedical engineering studies in Brussels.  Passionate about IT, automation and quality, he has nearly 10 years of professional experience in the field of laboratories, including more than 8 years in the specific field of laboratory information management systems. Starting as a support Engineer at Clinisys, world leader in the laboratory marketplace, he grew rapidly to become project engineer.  

After getting Prince2 certified in 2020, he took the role of project manager for the implementation team for Belgium, Luxemburg and Switzerland, managing large software implementation projects within private and hospitals laboratories.
